Thanks Leigh! As far as plot goes, King goes on for a while in the book about how authors who think about plot create stories that come off as formulaic. He says something to the effect of, ‘it is almost like you see the outline of notes the author took before they started writing and their characters rarely come off as real.’

He also clearly points out that all of his advice is simply his way of doing things, not necessarily the correct way to do things, though he is adamant about not using -ly words.
